Getting jiggy at Uketoberfest next month! 🍻🎃

Hi friends!

My last uke fest event for the year is next month! Join me and my friends Ben Hassenger (long time bestie), Patrick Malloy, Frank Youngman, and Punch Drunk for a one-day uke fest in lovely Traverse City, Michigan. Uketoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 25th at the Interlochen College of the Arts in Traverse City, Michigan.

Join fellow ukulele players for Uketoberfest 2025, a one-day ukulele workshop on Saturday, October 25, for all skill levels. The fest will kick off in the morning with a fun open-group strum and will lead into a day of elective master class sessions where you can choose your classes.

Us teachers are planning something special for this festival - We’ll all be teaching different interpretations of Monster Mash throughout our skills based classes to be performed at the end of the day by everyone! Make sure you catch each of our Monster Mash sessions to get all the spooky skills you can. During lunch there will be an open mic!

The day will end with a late afternoon faculty concert and group strum! An optional post-event gathering off campus will let you jam with teachers and other patrons (aka, we’re gonna take over a pizza place and eat pizza all night and play ukes, or so I’m told the plan is… 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕)

BREAKING NEWS! 📰

You heard it here first! I’ll be at next year’s Mighty Uke Day festival in East Lansing, MI in May 2026! With that fest comes the completion of the Ben Hassenger grand slam - teaching and performing at all four Ben-run uke events. I am honored! ⚾ (grand slams a baseball thing, right? I don’t do sports…)
