Updates from Viggy HQ ~ February '26
Let's get jiggy during the month of love! 💖

welcome to VIGGY NEWS - a very jiggy newsletter 📩 (February 26 edition)
Hi friends! 👋🏻
It’s February! I had a bit of radio silence in January due to getting all my wisdom teeth pulled (really dating myself here…) but I am now feeling much better. Tooth pain is no joke! The good news is they gave me my teeth in a jar, so that’s awesome 🦷🦷🦷🦷

🍿 Other Stuff
Like I mentioned before, a pretty crazy January! Spent a lot of time prepping for uke travels (getting workshop materials designed, coordinating flights, planning Patreon workshops) all while doing my best to not do any of that and rest post wisdom teeth removal…
I’ve been watching a lot of shows in my downtime! I recently finished up Twin Peaks, and just watched Fire Walk with Me last night. I love my Special Agent Dale Cooper, he is so charming and I too enjoy a damn fine cup of coffee! I’m really excited to check out Snoqualmie WA after Port Townsend Uke Fest in May to see some of the Twin Peaks filming locations. I’ve also been watching The Traitors (very happy they finally got rid of Michael Rappaport, why does he eat food like that??) and, because I love Lisa Rinna, I started watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I’m caught up on Salt Lake City, and I’m starting Potomac now that Karen is out of jail. My guilty pleasure shows…
Vic’s movie corner! I of course went to the movies as well. Here’s some stuff I’ve seen recently:
The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) - Been on a Coen Brothers kick lately, and this is a really underrated comedy that’s co-written by Evil Dead mastermind Sam Raimi! Super funny, very creative, and totally bonkers. (5/5 stars)
No Country for Old Men (2007) - I hadn’t seen this one surprisingly! What’s not a surprise is how good this film is. Stunning and scary and suspenseful and truly masterful. I’m late to the party I KNOW THAT (5/5 stars)
No Other Choice (2025) - Based off the Donald Westlake novel “The Ax",” this film is by Korean filmmaker Park Chan-Wook who directed one of my fav movies from 2022, Decision to Leave. No Other Choice is one of the best films of 2025, about a guy who gets fired from his job and makes sure that people know he’s upset. (4.5/5 stars)
Is This Thing On? (2025) - loved this movie so much! About a guy (Will Arnett) who splits from his wife and gets into stand up comedy to help him cope with all the changes in his life. Really sweet movie about finding a community to help you when you need it. (4/5 stars)
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2025) - Sequel to last year’s 28 Years Later, this was a fun watch but pretty intense and gory at times. There was one scene that really made my skin crawl and I did hide behind my hands (not ashamed) but once that passed I really thought it was fun. I think I prefer 28 Years Later though. (3.5/5 stars)
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me / The Missing Pieces (1992)
Last night I went to a double feature! Hence my Twin Peaks TV show pregame, we had the tickets for a week or two and I wanted to watch the show beforehand. Both of these were really sad, very downer of a movie, but so so good. Poor Laura ☹️ I do think The Missing Pieces serves as a mandatory addendum to Fire Walk with Me, I’m not sure why some of the stuff was cut because it seems really important. (masterpiece/5)
